It’s a Bus-and-a Boat and it quacks & floats!
Only fun people are allowed on this 90 minute tour that takes you through the rustic streets of Ketchikan, then splashes into the harbor for spectacular views of Alaska’s First City. Be prepared for entertainment, trivia, and live narration that’s guaranteed to “quack you up”.
Starting downtown on the cruise ship dock, we’ll embark on a quack-tac-ular 45 minute land tour winding our way through the city’s quaint, historic neighborhoods. Enjoy factual and amusing commentary on Ketchikan’s past, present, and future endeavors as we waddle through the famous tunnel and across town to our most anticipated destination. Arriving at bustling Bar Harbor we’ll instantly turn into a boat and splash into the Tongass Narrows for an intriguing 45-minute water adventure. Now pick your feet up and put your hands in the air as the Ketchikan Duck Tour splashes into the scenic harbor on the Tongass Narrows! Experience Ketchikan’s legendary commercial fishing industry and keep your eyes peeled for flying eagles, marine mammals, buzzing seaplanes…and of course other DUCKS…that all call our waterfront home. Bring your sense of adventure and humour along for an entertaining and interactive folklore & trivia-filled one-of-a-kind ride!
All passengers are picked up and dropped off downtown on the cruise ship dock. Passengers must check in at their designated DUCK 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
CHECKING IN IS ESSENTIAL
Please check in with our coordinator as soon as you arrive in town. Although it does not happen often, there may be schedule changes, cancellations or other information that would be to your benefit to know right away.
Please be there at least 20 minutes prior to departure for boarding. Seating is on a first come basis and there is no reserved seating.
Souvenir duck whistles are available for purchase on-board the DUCK or at the office desk. The cost is $3.00 (cash) per whistle.
We do try to get our tours off on time, so please help us by being ready. There are restrooms located at various areas around the cruise ship dock including inside the Ketchikan Visitor’s Bureau. We do allow you to bring beverages and/or snacks on-board and ask that you please remove the trash as you depart. We do not allow alcoholic beverages or smoking on-board the Amphibians.

Customers will receive a full refund with 14 days notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible? Yes and no. Our tour does not have a wheelchair lift. However, as long as you can manage the boarding ladder, which is approximately 9 stairs, each 6″ high, the entire tour is a seated tour and is accessible for those with disabilities. Please see the below photos of the boarding ladder for your assistance.
Your wheelchair, scooter, walker, or stroller will be taken at the bottom of the boarding ladder and kept in a dry, secure area during the duration of the tour and will be returned at the conclusion of the tour.
